Self-Portrait Project
This group of artist self-portraits and studio images began as a single image created for the online component of the Munich Jewelry Week exhibition "War: Polemos" at Weltraum Gallery in Munich, Germany, organized and run by ZLR_BETRIEBSIMPERIUM in March 2021 after the global spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lock-downs and restrictions. This single image developed into further explorations of the studio self-portrait as a means of expression and understanding my own creative inspirations, studio practice, and self-identity. Subsequent images were created for the following Munich Jewelry Week exhibition "The Flying Circus" also at Weltraum Gallery in Munich, Germany in March 2021, as well for their own sake as works of performative art and photography.
